Oil and henna on bas-relief in plaster on canvas With this collection, Andrea Benetti aims to highlight how abstract painting, at least in its embryonic form, traces its roots back to the very origins of our history, going as far as prehistoric cave paintings. In these primitive works, the use of symbols and chromatic forms already emerged, anticipating the fundamental principles of abstractionism, while maintaining a mysterious and primitive character.

Artistic Statement

My artistic research takes shape in the sign of origins, exploring the primordial dimension of the creative act through the language of Neo-Cave art. I conceive art as an archaic and spiritual act, an ancestral medium that connects contemporary humanity to the collective memory of mankind.
